Standing with Our Neighbors: A Message of Support for Kerr and Tom Green Counties
Our community has been shaken by the recent and devastating flooding that has swept through Kerr and Tom Green Counties. In what is being called a historic and catastrophic event, the Guadalupe River and other local waterways swelled with terrifying speed, altering landscapes and, most tragically, lives. Our deepest sympathies are with every individual, family, and neighborhood grappling with the immense loss and destruction left in the wake of this disaster.
The stories of loss are truly heartbreaking. Families have been displaced, homes have been washed away, and the toll on life has been staggering, with a particularly devastating impact on children and summer camps that have long been a source of joy for so many.

At Sarma, a commitment to our community is at the core of who we have been since 1907. Through our Sarma Charitable Foundation, we have a standing history of providing support in times of crisis, from helping victims of hurricanes to supporting local families through partnerships with organizations like Habitat for Humanity and the American Red Cross. When our neighbors are in need, we will always be there to help them stand, rebuild, and recover.
In keeping with this commitment, Sarma will be donating $25,000.00 to support the relief efforts for all those affected by the recent floods. It is our hope that this contribution will provide some measure of comfort and aid to the families and communities as they begin the long and difficult journey of rebuilding.
In the days and weeks to come, let us all extend a hand to those in need, support the heroic first responders and volunteers, and work together to restore the vibrant communities we call home. In the face of this tragedy, we will stand strong, together.
Headquartered in San Antonio, TX, Sarma has been providing multiple services since 1907, including mortgage lenders credit services, third-party collections, employment, and tenant screening.
In 2020, the Sarma Charitable Foundation was established with a goal of teaching financial literacy to our community, along with minimizing hunger and promoting healthy lifestyles. To date, SCF has awarded over $1.7 million dollars to Non-Profits, HS Schools, Universities and Communities throughout Texas, Florida and California.
