The Internal Penetration Test is a network security analyst-supported, fixed duration attack against client computing resources. The test (executed remotely through the RNA residing on the client network) examines those network and computing assets that are accessible only from the inside of the organization and may include various routers, firewalls, network devices, servers and workstations.
